About New Boulevard
The New Boulevard is the southern resort part of Batumi along the sea, stretching from Lake Ardagani towards the airport. Most of the city's new residential complexes are being built here: high-rises stand both on the first line, 60 to 150 metres from the beach, and deeper inside the blocks on Angisa and Adlia streets, 300 to 800 metres from the sea.
The area's main draws are the wide pedestrian promenade with its beaches, Lech and Maria Kaczynski Park, the water park, Metro City shopping centre and the casinos. The airport is 5 to 10 minutes by car, the Old Town about 10 minutes, and city buses run through the district.
Apartments here are bought mostly for short-term rental and for holidays by the sea. For year-round living there are schools, kindergartens, hospitals and supermarkets nearby, but bear in mind that construction is still under way in many blocks, and the noise will last for several more years.
